Made a few more adjustments. Fixed the hands a bit, and added visual sensors to her helmet.

Put some primer on it

Looks better with primer. Anyways, I baked it and it developed some cracks. I'm kind of disappointed cause I knew that it was going to develop some cracks, and I could have probably avoided it...but, I also learned how to fix them so it's not a total loss. I still want to touch up the cracks a bit though. If I really want to hide the cracks even further, I might want to paint it a dark color when I get around to it.

A little more info on my concept sculpture. This sculpture was inspired by the alien movies, Giger, and the Prometheus film. I didn't start with a sketch, I kind of just went with the flow and changed things as the sculpture progressed. I kept seeing different designs and concepts as the piece evolved, it was an interesting way to keep me focused and inspired throughout the process. If I had finished this piece earlier, it probably would have looked different, but I'm glad that there were things that kept me away from the sculpture cause that helped me to continually look at it with fresh eyes.

So what is it? Well, like I said before, it was inspired by the Alien movies so I would like to think of it as a type of space suit that is resistant to the Aliens acidic blood and would also help the wearer fight in a more even field against them. It can also help the wearer see like them and infiltrate the Aliens almost unnoticed. Or, maybe she's a more evolved alien female? I like my design, and I hope to create more of her in the future.

I caught some mistakes and made some changes on the face...still making changes cause I don't want to settle for "ok"...I want get as close to really good as possible.

Got a chance to work on this a little bit...now I feel like taking it a different direction, but we'll see...

I can't wait till this is finished. One of the things that gets me is waiting till one of my projects gets done because I can't wait to see how it'll look. Even though I'm the one creating it, I'm always surprised of the end result...it's one of the perks of creating art. An artist never has enough time and a piece can't come quick enough. Also, once I get done with a piece, I wish I wasn't haha.
